Hinsdale Village Caucus Online
This site provides information about the Caucus (who we are and how we operate) and local elections (endorsed candidates, voting information). We appreciate your interest in the Caucus, and we welcome any comments or questions you may have about the Caucus or this site.
The Caucus is a non-partisan body of residents who identify, interview and then nominate a slate of candidates for the boards of the Village of Hinsdale, the Hinsdale Library and Community Consolidated Elementary School District 181. Any resident in the District 181 attendance area who is a registered voter may be eligible to serve as a Delegate.* The initial organizational meeting (First Regular Meeting) for the 2015 Hinsdale Village Caucus was held on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at which time the Delegates were seated. The various nominating committees were randomly chosen at the June 12, 2014 meeting (Second Regular Meeting). The nominating committees will make their recommendations and the full Caucus will vote on a slate of candidates for the District 181 School Board, the Hinsdale Library Board and the Village of Hinsdale trustees at its Third Regular Meeting on December 2, 2014 for the April 7, 2015 election.
*Note: Clarendon Hills residents are only eligible to serve on a nominating committee for the District 181 Board.
