This site provides information about the Caucus (who we are and how we operate) and local elections (endorsed candidates, voting information). We appreciate your interest in the Caucus, and we welcome any comments or questions you may have about the Caucus or this site.
The Caucus Officer Nominating Committee has finalized officer nominations for the next bi-annual term. The Nominating Committee has nominated Amy Louis to serve as chair, Paul Kallas to serve as vice-chair and Jeff Armstrong to serve as communications secretary. These officers will be up for election at the May 16th meeting. The Caucus has five officers who serve staggered two year terms.
The Hinsdale Caucus for 2010 is now forming and looking for residents who might be interested in joining. The Caucus is a non-partisan body of residents who identify, interview and then nominate a slate of candidates for the boards of the Village of Hinsdale, the Hinsdale Library and Elementary School District 181. These slates will be for the April 2011 election. Any resident in the District 181 attendance area who is a registered voter is eligible to serve as a delegate.* If you would like to get more information about serving as a delegate, please the Section Chair for the respective elementary school attendance area in which you live. Their names can be found on the "Contacts" page of this website. The initial organizational meeting is May 16. The various nominating committees will be chosen on September 12 and they will then meet over several months, finishing in December. We highly encourage you to consider this opportunity to make a difference in our community.
*Note: If you reside in Clarendon Hills, you will only be eligible to serve on a nominating committee for the District 181 Board.
