Hinsdale Village Caucus Online
This site provides information about the Caucus (who we are and how we operate) and local elections (endorsed candidates, voting information). We appreciate your interest in the Caucus, and we welcome any comments or questions you may have about the Caucus or this site.
The Caucus is a non-partisan body of residents who identify, interview and then nominate a slate of candidates for the boards of the Village of Hinsdale, the Hinsdale Library and Community Consolidated Elementary School District 181. Any resident in the District 181 attendance area who is a registered voter may be eligible to serve as a delegate.* The initial organizational meeting (First Regular Meeting) for the 2013 Hinsdale Village Caucus will be on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at which the delegates will be seated. The various nominating committees will be randomly chosen at the September 2012 meeting (Second Regular Meeting). The nominating committees will make their recommendations and the full Caucus will vote on a slate of candidates for the District 181 School Board, the Hinsdale Library Board and the Village of Hinsdale trustees at its Third Regular Meeting in November 2012 for the April 9, 2013 election.
*Note: Clarendon Hills residents are only be eligible to serve on a nominating committee for the District 181 Board.
